Overview: The Youth Council is designed to act as the youth strategic planning arm for the Bristol Workforce Investment Board. As a body, the Youth Council gathers information on youth service resources and serves as an advocacy body for youth in the region, to assure that they receive comprehensive, high quality services and follow-up, including those provided by non-Workforce Investment Act funding. Ultimately, the mission of the Youth Council is to develop a youth delivery system that will integrate and maximize our region's funding sources, while helping youth to achieve the basic knowledge and skills to succeed in secondary education, entry-level employment and beyond.
